General features of the probe:
The probe measures the residual oxygen content in a measuring chamber at the end of the measuring gas fitting. The probe signal can be tapped off as a voltage. The probe is heated with a constant voltage. For heating and supplying only power supply approved by MESA may be used. The quantity of gas passing the probe should be within a range of 20…50 l/h. Too much gas volume can change the highly constant probe temperature, which results in a falsification of the measured value. Every probe includes two constants (K1 and K2). These constants must be entered in the measuring instruments (e.g. intelligent measuring transmitter Carbo48, Carbomat-M, MCON Carbo), if not there will be some measuring faults.

General features of the probe:
The oxygen probe type KE is suitable for direct installation in the furnace atmosphere. Its operation is maintenance free. The output EMF is equivalent to the Nernst effect. The probe temperature can be recorded by an integrated PtRh-Pt thermocouple. The oxygen probe is suitable for direct connection to all reputable C-level control systems. The probe delivers a continuous measuring signal and is characterized by a fast response time. The current carbon content of the furnace atmosphere is calculated from the probe voltage according to Nernst and the EMF of the thermocouple. The reproducible internal resistance of the probe permits simple
calculation of its residual service life. The probe can be used in any atmospheric heat treatment process e.g. carburizing, carbonitriding
Long lasting with high performance because it has a full zirconium oxide tube and that contributes to the fact that the measurement over extended period of time is more precisely than with probes which have only zirconia element
Very robust and with grand reliability, compatibility and accuracy

General features of the probe:
The ceramic part of the lambda probe (solid electrolyte) has the shape of a tube closed on one side. The surface of the probe ceramic is provided on the inside and outside with a microporous platinum layer (the electrodes), which on the one hand has a decisive influence on the probe characteristics through a catalytic effect and on the other hand serves for contacting. On the part of the probe ceramic on the measuring gas side, there is a firmly adhering, highly porous ceramic layer above the platinum layer. This protective layer prevents the residues in the measuring gas from having an erosive effect on the catalytically active platinum layer. This gives the probe a high long-term stability.
The active probe ceramic (ZrO2) is heated from the inside by a ceramic heating element, so that the temperature of the probe ceramic is kept constant regardless of the measuring gas temperature. The ceramic heating element has a PTC characteristic, which leads to rapid heating and limits the power requirement. The connections of the heating element are completely decoupled from the probe signal voltage (R> = 30M-Ohm).

General features of the probe:
ME-S/W probe was developed for very difficult working conditions. It is based on the new ZrO2 C3M electrolyte and offers excellent accuracy for the measurement of carbon potential (%C) and temperature (°C) The oxygen probe is suitable for direct connection to all reputable C-level control systems. ME-S/W probe allows a very precise value of oxygen concentration in an industrial furnace to be obtained. The zirconia carbon sensor has been used for nearly three decades to control the carbon potential in many carburizing applications. The reproducible internal resistance of the probe permits simple calculation of its residual service life. The probe can be used in any atmospheric heat treatment process e.g. carburizing.
